In 2025 alone, TI employees contributed more than 250,000 volunteer hours globally. Volunteer projects included distributing food to families in need, tutoring elementary school students, planting trees in urban neighborhoods, and building accessibility infrastructure for people with disabilities.

 

The company’s STEM-focused outreach programs also expanded internationally, including:

• Organizing STEM learning activities for underserved students in Shanghai, China.
• Developing tactile programming initiatives in Freising, Germany, for neurodiverse students to encourage interest in STEM subjects.
• Supporting nonprofit initiatives in Oslo, Norway, focused on programming, robotics, and electronics education for children.

One major milestone in 2025 was surpassing the company’s greenhouse gas reduction target. TI originally aimed to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 25% before the end of 2025 but ultimately achieved a 41% reduction.

 

This progress was made possible through several initiatives, including:

• Upgrading manufacturing equipment and technologies to improve efficiency.
• Installing thermal abatement systems in semiconductor manufacturing operations.
• Expanding the use of alternative chemicals and gases.
• Additional sustainability achievements in 2025 included:
• Increasing global renewable electricity usage to 52%, while all 300mm wafer fabrication facilities reached 100% renewable electricity use.
• Completing more than 200 energy-efficiency projects worldwide.
• Diverting 92% of waste away from landfills through recycling and waste-to-fuel programs.
• Expanding wastewater treatment and reuse systems, increasing water reuse rates to 35%.
